If you receive an email, text, or call saying Atlantic Title Firm’s wiring instructions have “changed,” or giving you a “new” bank account — stop. It is fraud. We will never send you updated wire instructions electronically, and we will never ask you to wire to a different account than the one we confirm with you by phone.

Call us on a number you trust
Call Atlantic Title Firm at the number below — taken from this website or your signed engagement letter, not from an email or a text. Fraudsters put their own phone numbers in fake emails.
Confirm the details out loud
Ask us to verbally confirm the receiving bank name, account number, and routing number. Match them against the instructions you have in hand before you send anything.
Only wire after you’ve confirmed
Never wire based solely on an email. If anything feels rushed or “different,” slow down and call. When in doubt, do not send.
What we will never do
- Email or text you new or “updated” wire instructions
- Ask you to wire to a different account than we confirmed by phone
- Pressure you to rush a wire or wire “today or lose the deal”
- Ask for wire instructions to a personal name or an out-of-state bank
Red flags of wire fraud
- A last-minute “change” to wiring instructions
- Urgency or threats of losing the property
- A reply-to or sender address that’s slightly off
- Instructions to a bank in another state or a personal account
- Anyone discouraging you from calling to verify
